There is something special about being out in the country during the winter. Today is the Winter Solstice, which means it’s the shortest day of the whole year. While the sun wasn’t out for long, it sure made an entrance before it left!
I wanted to share this quick video of the view from my neck of the woods:
When you live away from the bright city lights, you get to see the sky in a different way. The colors tonight were incredible—deep oranges and soft pinks reflecting off the frost. It’s quiet, it’s cold, and it’s honestly the best part of living out here.
Even though the days have been short and the nights have been long, starting tomorrow, we actually start gaining a little bit of daylight back every day. It’s a nice reminder that even in the middle of a cold winter, brighter days are on the way.
